As most of you may have heard, MGO is coming to an end. The next four months is the end of our time on Metal Gear Online, and hopefully the best. On June 12th, the fourth anniversary of Metal Gear Online, all 3 servers will be closing down. I'm sure a lot of you are somewhat upset about this, and it's understandable.

In the coming months the reward shop will close, all reward shop items and expansion/codec packs will be free, and finally the server will be pulled.

So the future of MGO2, the game, is clear. What about MGO2 the site?

Will the site be closing down?
No. The site is paid for until next year, and if it is still active when we get to that point it will continue to stay up.

So what is our future, then?
At this point we're not really sure. We do want to make some changes, however. To start with, everybody is being removed from gaybies / unbanned. However, this does not mean the rules are gone, we're simply giving you another chance. We are going to continue banning people for the same reasons, if not even stricter.
In the bigger picture, actually changing the site.. we don't know. I personally think a better theme would be nice, but further than that I have no idea.

Tell us what you would like to see. I'll update this post as we figure things out.

2011 was the first year MGO2 saw in full. That said, I'll keep this short. Post your favorite threads and vote on which is best. We may end up making a locked forum to archive the best threads and let new members see what a mess we are as a community.
