2011 was the first year MGO2 saw in full. That said, I'll keep this short. Post your favorite threads and vote on which is best. We may end up making a locked forum to archive the best threads and let new members see what a mess we are as a community.

So let's get to it. Post your favorite threads with a little explanation of what it is. I'll start.

What year did you start MGO (Rape support page 3):

Dear Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.

It has become apparent to those of us still using your product, "Metal Gear Online", that your customer service representatives for the North American and Europe servers have abandoned it's customers. There continues to be highly blatant cheating in-game, including, but not limited to, illegal internet attacks against your customers, and even against your own servers that host games in the official modes "Survival" and Tournament". The many problems that have plagued this game for years now continue to persist, and have frankly gotten worse with these new barrage of attacks. Metal Gear Online has become virtually unplayable in the "Tournament" mode due to these DDoS, (distributed denial-of-service), attacks, and your players are abandoning this game quickly now that the Survival mode servers are now starting to be attacked with this method. It is unfortunate that your lack of timely action against those who are causing problems will likely destroy this game before it's time. The following are a few suggestions on what you need to do to rectify this terrible situation on Metal Gear Online. These suggestions are from loyal customers who play legitimately, courteously, and fairly on MGO.

1. Legally pursue and prosecute those who are carrying out attacks on your servers and your customers. These distributed denial-of-service attacks are illegal and fall under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the United States.

2. Take swift action against cheaters. It's become obvious in recent months that most of the players who are cheating have not been banned. Video evidence is reported to the customer support for NA and EU, and they still do not ban them. All it should take is one report of video evidence to get a cheater permanently banned, cheaters getting banned for 1 week and playing on another GAME ID is not acceptable.

3. Make upload speeds automatic. There are many players who purposely alter their upload to give themselves an unfair advantage against players who have a better internet connection.

4. Unlock the Japanese server. It is unfair for those who have purchased MGO Japan, paid for the expansions and character slots, and they cannot enjoy the Survival and Tournament modes in that region.

5. Equalize the distribution of Reward Points for the North America and Europe servers, or lower the price of the white gear. It's completely unfair that the Japanese region can earn double the reward points in Survival, Tournament, and Automatching. Especially with the highly expensive white items that have recently been released. The only players able to afford white gear are the ones who have been saving for the past 3 years, and cheaters.

6. Patch the bugs that still persist over 3 years into Metal Gear Online. It's baffling that you have not addressed the serious problems in the animation system yet. You have to know that players can "roll" or "backstep" and virtually disappear at times only to reappear somewhere where the observing player did not expect it. This occurs with almost any animation in-game, from a player tossed by a grenade, to someone rolling off of a ledge.

7. Give us more reasons to play Metal Gear Online. You have Metal Gear Arcade, Metal Gear HD Collection, and Metal Gear Solid: Rising/MGS5 is on the horizon. Why not tie-in to those products with Metal Gear Online? Why not make a new expansion pack and add the Metal Gear Arcade maps Lethal Leviathan (L.L.) and Desert Duel (D.D.)? Why not add more special characters, gear, and weapons from MGS4 to MGO? If you tie-in MGO to your old/new products, you will bring many new players on board to MGO, (thus them having to buy Metal Gear Solid 4), increasing your customer base and sales. How about some special events once in a while like the Japanese server gets? Is it too much to ask that you give us a 24-hour Survival event once every couple of months? Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year's are coming up. It would be nice to have an event for the holiday season.

8. The community loves MGO for what is is. Fixing bugs and updating the current game would improve our experience, however please do not drastically change the engine to be more "begginer friendly" if you do make another online component. Our current community enjoys MGO for its competitive aspect.

We expect that you will read this letter, and do something immediately to address our concerns about the current state of Metal Gear Online. Most of us have paid for, and enjoyed, Konami products for years. It's unfortunate that regarding the customer service with Metal Gear Online, the ball has really been dropped. Our concerns will also be sent to the main offices in Japan, gaming review sites and magazines, and to the various stockholders of Konami. We want to let all those who care know of our current dissatisfaction with Metal Gear Online, it's lack of effective action against cheaters, and the seemingly negligent attitude of those that are supposed to keep this game fun, fair, competitive, and enjoying for it's customers.

Regards,

The players of Metal Gear Online, North America and Europe.
